■A film celebrating indigenous food diversity and agricultural diversity. Traditional indigenous food systems are helping to maintain the both the social and environmental wellbeing of the community.
■The film will also look into the causes and threats that have disrupted indigenous communities’ ability to control their own food systems, weakening of food sovereignty. As well as the impacts of weaken food sovereignty such as increased diseases and loss of traditional medicines etc.
■Through the angle of food the film will also explore examples of how IPLC are restoring their cultural knowledge, protecting environments, and promoting their health through their own food systems. Inspirational examples of revitalisation of food systems such as agroecology; food sovereignty; heritage foods and seed saving; planting and harvesting festivals and spiritual connection in Indigenous food systems will be shared.
