Volunteering
Over the years, LifeMosaic has enjoyed the support of many volunteers. Volunteers are usually based at home and work on self contained activities or research topics that feed into our work. Occassionally we offer full time internships. Please contact us with your CV and a cover letter if you are interested in applying. Specific volunteering opportunities will be described in this section as and when they arise.
Current Vounteering Opportunities
Distributing our resources
We are looking for a volunteer to help share our oil palm films with groups in French speaking Africa. You will conduct research into NGOs and community organisations who might be interested in using our resources, as well as contact our existing partners in the region. Good command of French is essential. This activity does not involve any travel.
Transcribing, translating and subtitling
There are many excellent resources produced only in one language and we would like to make them available in either English, French, Spanish or Bahasa Indonesia. Your role will be to translate and subtitle films or other resources for use by indigenous communities and groups that support them.
Sourcing archive footage
We are looking for a volunteer experienced in sourcing archive footage from both creative commons and rights reserved sources. You will gain insight into producing films for creating positive social change.
Get Involved
“In LifeMosaic's videos, we find ourselves. Through watching them we understand that we are not alone facing these problems. The stories give us hope that we can change our situations, organise in the village and even influence decision makers. We are so happy to hear about the ‘plan de vie’ [Life Plan] it seems very important that we should use in our own lives to design our own life plan.”
