Groups in Uganda
Indigenous peoples in Uganda include the traditional hunter/gatherer Batwa communities, also known as Twa and Benet, and pastoralist groups such as the Karamojong and the Ik.
NAPE (National Association of Professional Environmentalists)
The National Association of Professional Environmentalists (NAPE) works towards ensuring sustainable use and management of natural resources including advocating for good governance and human rights. NAPE are using LifeMosaic's films in 4 areas including oil-rich Western Uganda where oil-related activities threaten to displace communities, and in the central region Kalangal district where oil palm plantations have, and continue to displace communities around Lake Victoria.
