Groups in Solomon Islands
The Solomon Islands’ indigenous peoples are the Melanesians, i-Kiribati and Polynesians. More than 80 per cent of the population lives in rural areas and relies on a semi-subsistence agricultural economy.
OceansWatch Solomon Islands
OceansWatch SI is established to work in the remote coastal communities of the Solomon Islands to promote interest in the sustainable management of their resources. The organisation has held screenings of LifeMosaic films in communities in Rennell Island, a designated World Heritage site where a Malaysian Logging company is moving in.
